Three Self-Limiting Beliefs That Hold You Back and How to Overcome Them
The definition of success varies from person to person. There is no formula that can determine it: you can count achievements, but can’t measure success. It is difficult, and often unnecessarily, to even define it.
The only thing that matters is to find the inspiration and the purpose in everything that you do in order to feel that you are making a difference – for yourself, for your family and friends, for the society. In entrepreneurship, impact, value and innovation matter more than success.
Your thoughts are shaping the way you see success and failure. Your thoughts can give you motivation and inspiration. But at the same time, your thoughts might be the reason why you are failing. Never underestimate their power and don’t self-limit yourself with the following three beliefs that are holding you back from becoming the entrepreneur and innovator that you can be!
I don’t have enough time!
Many people use this as an excuse not to start anything new in their lives or find it as a good enough reason to give up on their businesses. We all have 24 hours a day! Don’t waste your time worrying that you don’t have enough time. Start with what you have, give what you can and you will soon start seeing results. It is not the time that stops you - it is your perspective about time that is holding you back.
I don’t know everything!
Well, there is no need to know everything! You can’t be the best salesman, the best programmer, the best marketer… You can be the best version of yourself, which is enough. Don’t look for perfection, look for impact and try to move forward with what you have from where you are at this moment!
I can’t compete with the other companies in my niche!
Remember that every coin has two sides: you can look at the competition as a threat; you can look it as a motivator. It is not the circumstances that define you! Having a strong competition is wonderful opportunity to challenge yourself and to achieve results that you thought are unachievable.
Your thoughts shape your actions so don’t let them hold you back. Redefine them and see how you can change the way you feel about success.
