He is the father of the growth hacking term which is developed for technology startups and individuals which use analytical thinking, and social metrics to sell products and gain exposure. It can be seen as a marketing technique, using analytical tools such as SEO optimization, content marketing, A/B testing..etc. It also focus on low cost and more effective alternatives to traditional marketing. Growth hacking is an interesting method that gives us a chance to look at the future of marketing. It removes the barriers between products, product teams and marketers. Every strategy and every tactics that growth hacker makes is informed by growth. Traditional marketers also working for growth, but not in the same way. Marketers are important, but you need someone with narrower focus on growth. We can define growth hacking as a set of the best practices for dealing with the problems of user growth. But, can we call it as the future of marketing? Neil Patel says that the growth hacking shows us a trend that will infiltrate more than the marketing department. Growth matters and multiple roles within companies will someday reflect that. He also mentions that this method is primarily found in startups, but it will eventually be found in larger organizations.
