TechConnect Astana Announces $25.000 Prize to the Best Startup at the Conference
TechConnect Astana invites teams from all around the world to participate in the Startup Battle and compete for the $25.000 grand prize from the international angel investor network Cross Border Angels. The application deadline is October 29. You can apply here.
From the list of registered participants a professional jury will choose ten best teams that will be provided with free air flights to Astana and accommodation during the conference. The teams will undergo a training session from the best mentors of the Silicon Valley before entering a ring of the Battle.
Another 90 teams will get an opportunity to showcase their projects without any fee. Organization committee will provide a 70% discount on accommodation in partner hotels of the conference.
Top ten teams will be announced on the 1st of November. They will have to arrive in Astana no later than November 10th. The best project will by defined by a series of pitches on the Main Stage of the conference on November 12th.
45 international experts on venture investment and innovations will deliver their speeches at TechConnect Astana. Amongst them there are: Yossi Vardi, first ICQ investor; Scott Mauvais, director of innovations and technology at Microsoft global office; Igor Ryabenkii, managing partner of Altair venture fund and director of LinguaLeo; Kaushal Chokshi, founder of international investor network Cross Border Angels; Brant Cooper, author of “The Lean Entrepreneur” bestseller, and others. The event in the capital of Kazakhstan will gather 150 investors, founders of 150 best startups and 1500 guests from Central Asia, USA, Europe and CIS. You can find out more about the conference here.
Apart from panel debates and presentations, multiple meetings with top government officials of Kazakhstan, heads of the largest companies and IT-entrepreneurs from Europe and CIS will be organized as part of the event.
