Startups around the world is Sunday column series created with the ambition to unite the entrepreneurial community around the world by introducing to the audience different startups on weekly basis. The purpose of this column is to improve our knowledge of what is being created by entrepreneurs around the world, to expand our network, to get informed and hopefully inspired.
8FIT
8FIT is mobile fitness app, which offers custom workout plans, meal plans that work and one-on-one coaching for the users. The startup was created in 2014 by Pablo Villalba. In 2013, the founder himself lost 12kg for four months. This impressive results inspired him to put all of his experience and knowledge into the app. The startup is based in Barcelona and raised $2.25 million in May 2015.
Qubit
The London-based startup Qubit is a digital customer experience delivery platform designed for marketing and ecommerce professionals. The company has been created by four ex Google employees. In September 2014 the team raised $26 million.
Coub
This Russian startup allows the users to turn their favorite videos into coubs online and allos them to share their coubs with friends. If you wonder what coub is, here is your answer: A coub is a looped video up to 10 seconds long.
