At Startup Turkey 2016, Joshua Burke an entrepreneur, investor and US diplomat working in Ankara at the american innovation agency tried to answer how governments can support the startup ecosystem.
His solutions included providing financing and infrastructure and implementing laws and policies that support failures because when a business fails it doesn’t mean the founders failed. He told us that he and other government representatives need and want to hear more about your companies and encouraged Turkish entrepreneurs to attend different events or meet him at happy hours in Istanbul and Ankara.
