How The Digital Disruption Will Ease The Process Of Conducting International Business

The goal   of serving a globally competitive role by companies is giving people founders are a hard time to think on their toes by making hard decisions that could go either way  ( big success or total failure ).

The issue of attaining visas and Foreign Government approval is also a concern. This is because some immigration policies completely restrict particular line of businesses from operating in certain countries or limits their time period of existence thereby leading to a continuous renewal of business permits or visa approvals for particular business people and their companies.

Again, some businesses have particular employees who possess a set of skills that are unique and hard to find hence forcing such companies to continuously transfer employees with unique skills from country to country to work on related business projects that expand the company. The hurdle comes in when a uniquely skilled employee possesses certain nationality that is restricted to work in a country that is of interest to the company that has hired them. Such a scenario usually posses a risk to the growth of companies that want to expand to every corner of the world.

Ideally, when it comes to posting staff to work abroad, most global companies usually consider how one’s passport permits them to work in multiple countries. For instance , if your passport can enable a job seeker  to work in one hundred countries without needing much paperwork to get a visa then such a staff will have higher chances of being employed by a global company in comparison to another jobseeker whose passport enables them to work in only 15 countries without needing much paperwork to get a visa.

Therefore, as we head into the digital disruption, is there a chance for easing the process of conducting business at the global arena? Of course, there is. And we are gonna discuss that in the paragraph below.

One, the process of shortlisting employees who work for global companies is going to be made very easy.  This will be due to the bettering of database software applications that will instantly match employees contracted by a global company with countries where they can work flexibly without so much visa restrictions. And again , we cannot fail to mention that some global jobs will not necessarily require the staff to physically travel abroad for business this is due to the fact some job roles like attending a business meeting, supervision, monitoring and evaluation, business design among others will be done virtually through digital tools.  Such developments will actually save operational costs for global companies.

Another global business development aspect that is gonna be affected by digital disruption is the aspect of Government taxation. As we are all aware, the could technology is facilitating numerous business opportunities like storage of information, communication, transactions through the klepto currencies among much other numerous business that are taking place through the cloud economy. For instance, a business that offers online counseling might be based in Turkey might be contracted by a global company headquartered in Ukraine to offer online counseling services to its clients working in South Africa. In this scenario, the client is based in Ukraine, the service provider in Turkey and the recipients in South Africa. Hence we might have diplomatic arguments on which government among the three will receive what type of taxes. Such a scenario of sharing taxes among Governments during the future of the digital disruption will surely get louder as days go by.

So, as we head into the full digital disruption, it's up to the business community that aspires to make strides on the global arena to be flexible and open to new ideas. The future of doing business is going to be so unpredicted with the new technologies that we anticipate of but have no clear idea of what they might look like.  Every business must equally be prepared for an unknown glorious future by being flexible and open to the digital change.
