Andrew Romans: Venture Capitalist Profile

Andrew Romans is a General Partner at Rubicon Venture Capital, he is also CEO and General Partner at 7BC.VC, he has great experience working with startups and aiding them to raise funds from venture capitalists, he is also the author of books: “Masters of Corporate Venture Capital” and “The Entrepreneurial Bible to Venture Capital”. Andrew was present at Startup Istanbul 2016 and he gave an insight into what the future of venture capital is.
Andrew started out his entrepreneurial journey by owning a couple of businesses in high school, he had a venture-backed startup that raised a lot of money up to the tune of 50 million dollars, his startup was in the telecommunications and internet space, he had experience speaking at conferences, he started getting offers from other entrepreneurs to help them raise funds from venture capitalists due to his experience.
Andrew did this for ten years, joining the board of directors of several startups and helping them raise venture capital funding, after which he partnered with his best friend to set up his own venture capital fund called Rubicon Venture Capital, with two offices in San Francisco and New York, Andrew runs the office in San Francisco while his best friend Josh runs the office in New York.
Rubicon Venture Capital is a very active venture capital fund focused on backing startups at Late Seed, Series A, and B stages, across a range of enterprise tech and rapid revenue growing tech consumer companies with traction. Capital is raised from corporates, individual HNWI angel investors, family offices and institutional LPs creating a powerful network ready to help our startups grow.
Andrew is also currently a General Partner at 7BC.VC, a venture capital fund focused on investing in blockchain related tech startups with traction and has relationships with other venture capitalists going back to the mid-1990's in the US, UK, Scandinavia, EU, Israel, China, and Japan. Andrew began his career working in the UNIX computing industry, he was also the former Managing Director of Europe, Middle East, and Africa at Sentito Networks (acquired by Verso Technologies), he managed enterprise software sales at Motive Communications (NASDAQ IPO) opening new markets in Europe.
Andrew was the Founder and President of The Global TeleExchange (The GTX), a venture-backed startup where he raised $25 million from Lucent Technologies and $18 million from leading venture capitalists, he built and managed a team of 90 people.
Andrew is Founder of The Founders Club, a venture capitalist equity exchange fund and broker of direct secondaries for growth stage firms where he was supervised by FINRA under a broker-dealer. This gives him a strong regulatory understanding of the evolving world of ICO, STOs, TGEs, i-banking rules around raising capital in different countries.
