Special Interview with Farhad Hedayati, Founder of Taskulu
The Iranian startup Taskulu took the 3rd place at Startup Istanbul 2015 Challenge. In a special interview for Etohum, Farhad Hedayati, the Founder of Taskulu, answered our questions about Startup Istanbul event and shared what is next for their startup.
Can you introduce your startup to our audience?
Taskulu is an online collaboration platform with task management, time tracking, team chat rooms and focus on deep integrations and extensibility. It was launched in September 2014 with the aim to increase team efficiency and productivity by eliminating fragmentation of information into multiple tools and sub projects and already has over 13000 users from more than 100 countries.
Can you share with us your experience at Startup Istanbul 2015 Conference?
Startup Istanbul Challenge has been one of the best events we've ever attended. In addition to receiving pitch training and mentorship from world-class mentors, the opportunity of networking with so many fellow entrepreneurs, potential customers, investors and partners from many different countries was priceless.
Which was the most challenging part?
For us the most challenging part was fine tuning the initial story behind our pitch and making it exciting, and, thankfully, we get a lot of great feedback and help from the mentors just for doing that!
What did you learn from Startup Istanbul Challenge?
In addition to the obvious learning point and pitching, during the networking time we learned a lot about the Eurasia ecosystem and the potential markets we'd want to target. Meeting and talking with people from different regions, cultures and industries and finding out about their needs and workflows has been an amazing learning experience for us.
What is next for your startup?
Right now we're looking into expanding into the Turkish market and finding potential partners in that market, while working on a new version of Taskulu, based on the feedback we've been getting from our customers and the tests we've been running over the past few months.
