Etohum Meetings are Coming to London and Dublin

After organized the Eurasia’s biggest startup event, Startup Istanbul, Etohum is coming to Dublin, then London this time to meet with startups, entrepreneurs and investor. At both London and Dublin, Etohum will be active in informing and leading candidates who have the proper knowledge and idea about internet while also seeking to introduce them to the right business networks.

Etohum London Meeting will be held at Campus London on 12th of November. Founders, investors, entrepreneurs and professionals in internet sector will get together and meet. The speakers are also announced including Nevzat Aydın from Yemeksepeti, Pru Ashby from London & Partners, Burçak Ünsal from Ünsal Gündüz Law Office and Koray Kabatas from Akakce.com.

Etohum London is a satellite event of NOAH Conference, the preeminent internet conference in Europe which will be held at 13-14 November 2014 in London. You can register for Etohum London on here.

Etohum Dublin Meeting will be held on 5th and 6th of November, at Google and Facebook Dublin HQs respectively. Founders, investors, entrepreneurs and professionals in internet sector will get together and meet in European capital city of global internet companies. Senior Vice President of SAP, Cafer Tosun’s Startup Istanbul Talk

Cafer Tosun is Senior Vice President for Strategic Innovations at SAP. In his role he is responsible for the global strategic innovation programs at SAP. He heads all public research relationship with governments, strategic partners and universities. At the same time Cafer is the responsible executive Managing Director in charge of SAP Innovation Center in Turkey.

Cafer Tosun talked about his experiences and SAP’s Startup Focus Program. He also gave some numbers and details about this program and the evaluation process. With this program SAP provides the technology that startups need. You can watch the full talk on here:

Sanjeet Matharu is Media Ecosystems Manager at Twitter. He is also strategically and commercially astute, with a proven track record for delivering a wide range of outstanding solutions.

Do you wonder what happened at Mentorship program? Here is Erik Anderson's Presentation

On 27 – 28th of September, selected 100 startups got together at Microsoft Office in Istanbul and met best mentors from mainly US and Europe. On 29th of September all startups pitched to the jury and as you know top 15 was selected for the final event. So, Do you wonder what happened at Microsoft Office?

Here is one of the mentor presentations at mentorship and training program. Erik Anderson from Startup WiseGuys talked about why startup should also focus on B2B and the advantages of this business model.

Qualcomm Ventures Director, Jason Ball’s Startup Istanbul Talk

Jason Ball is a Director at Qualcomm Ventures Europe and is based in London. He currently serves as a board member or observer for Bitbar, Blippar, Cambridge Temperature Concepts, Grand Cru, Peak, Videoplaza, Wonder PL and Wrapp. Jason has also led Qualcomm Ventures investments in Arteris (acquired by Qualcomm) and We7 (acquired by Tesco).

Founder of Shakr.com, David Lee’s Startup Istanbul Presentation

As the founder & CEO of Shakr.com, David Lee and his 15-strong team are making great video possible for everyone. With offices in both Seoul and San Francisco, Shakr has raised over $3M in seed and Series A funding from investors including Silicon Valley-based 500 Startups, Korea’s largest internet company, NHN, and the venture capital arm of POSCO.

David mostly talked about Shakr.com and showed the features of this application. He also created Startup Istanbul video on stage with Shakr. You can see the full presentation on here:

Michael Seibel (Y-Combinator) Interview-Startup Istanbul 2014

Michael Seibel is former Co-Founder & CEO of mobile video startup Socialcam and live streaming startup Justin.tv. Socialcam was acquired by Autodesk Inc. in August 2012 for $60 million. Currently, Michael is a Part-time Partner at Y-Combinator.

Michael really loves what he is doing,  he has met lots of startups and entrepreneurs at Startup Istanbul. Even, it took about 3 hours to take him to the interview. Michael talked about Y-Combinator, how you can apply, and their incubation program.

Mastercard and Etohum Partnership to Support ''Fintech'' Startups

MasterCard and Etohum made cooperation to support initiatives in the field of financial technology. Etohum will support the initiatives on financial technologies with MasterCard who apply and selected via website until the 30th of November 2014. Those who are selected also will be evaluated to participate in MasterCard’s global programs.

With the partnership of MasterCard and Etohum, the significant opportunities will be offered to the startups working in the field of financial technology.The selected initiatives will be evaluated according to the criteria such the initiative’s goals, business model, whether they are companies or not and investment potential. Primarily 3-months training will be given about presentation and investor expectations.Then, startups will be pitching to Etohum Investors Club to get an investment.

At the same time selected entrepreneurs get the right to be considered for selection to MasterCards’s Global StartPath.com Incubation Program which supports entrepreneurs who will change the future of business. MasterCard’s Dublin-based, commerce-focused accelerator provides selected startups with dedicated space, mentorship, customized education, and direct access to their network of partners. Upon finishing the programme, startups could be on their way to securing a meaningful pilot with a key customer, have refined their product and business model, and moving towards their Series A.

Under the program, the selected enterprises and entrepreneurs that created them will be invited to the Startup Turkey in February. After the information given in many areas such as work plan, project management and presentation methods,  they will able to receive guidance on the preparation and coaching  to establish the company’s business plans and and web pages.
